Bonjour, je suis Mme Delphine
I created La Classe de Delphine to share my love of French in a way that feels warm, human, and joyful.
As a native French speaker, I was fortunate to grow up immersed in francophone cultures around the world, including in Belgium and Burundi. While Calgary has been my home for many years, my francophone roots and deep love for the language remain a meaningful part of who I am.
As both a teacher and a parent of three children learning French in an anglophone environment, I understand the challenges families can face when trying to introduce and nurture another language in everyday life. Through my teaching experiences — including at Calgary French & International School — and through visiting many schools for classroom presentations, I began to notice small gaps between learning French academically and truly feeling comfortable, connected, and confident using it naturally.
It became deeply important to me not only to pass along my own roots and love for the French language to my children, but also to create a warm and meaningful space where other families could experience that connection too. That is why I created La Classe de Delphine — a gentle, playful environment where children can build confidence, feel seen and encouraged, and discover French as something joyful, natural, and alive.

Everything parents want to know before signing up — en toute transparence.
Camp Soleil is designed for children ages 4–10 who are curious about French, already in a French immersion program, or simply looking for a joyful, enriching summer experience. No prior French knowledge is required — all levels are welcome! Older or more confident French speakers are encouraged to take on a natural leadership role, acting as models and helpers for younger children. This creates a warm, supportive dynamic where no child ever feels intimidated to speak French.
Camp is hosted at Mme Delphine's home in Silverado SW, Calgary. The exact address will be shared with registered families upon confirmation of enrollment.
Camp runs 9:00am – 12:00pm daily, Monday to Friday, for two separate weeks:
• Week 1: August 10–14, 2026
• Week 2: August 17–21, 2026
You are welcome to register for one or both weeks.
Camp Soleil is a micro-camp — intentionally small, with a limited number of spots per week. This allows Mme Delphine to give each child individual attention in a warm, home-like environment. Register early to secure your spot!
French is the primary language of the camp, spoken joyfully and naturally throughout the day. Mme Delphine is a native French speaker who uses songs, games, stories, and crafts to make the language feel alive and accessible — never intimidating.
Every day is filled with French songs and circle time, storytelling and read-alouds, themed crafts and art projects, movement and outdoor play, and a little French snack time — all woven together in a cozy, structured rhythm that children thrive in.
Please pack a nut-free snack, a water bottle, and weather-appropriate clothing for outdoor time. A small backpack works perfectly. More details will be shared with registered families before camp begins.
Simply fill out the registration form below. Once Mme Delphine confirms your spot (within 24 hours), you'll send a $50 non-refundable deposit via Interac E-Transfer to dilling0919@gmail.com (password: FrenchCamp). In the e-transfer message, please include your child's full name and the week(s) they will attend — for example: "Sophie Martin — Week 1, Aug 10–14". The remaining $200 balance is due 14 days before your selected week.
If you cancel 14 or more days before camp begins, the $200 balance will be refunded in full. The $50 deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations with less than 14 days' notice are not eligible for a refund. If Mme Delphine ever needs to cancel a session due to an emergency, a full 100% refund (including the deposit) will be issued immediately.
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer partial refunds, credits, or make-up days for missed sessions due to illness, vacation, or scheduling conflicts. Because Camp Soleil is a micro-camp, operational costs remain the same regardless of attendance.

Deposit: A $50 non-refundable deposit per week is due at registration to hold your child's spot. When sending your e-transfer, please include your child's full name and the week(s) they will be attending in the message field (e.g. "Sophie Martin — Week 1, Aug 10–14").
Balance Due: The remaining $200 balance is due 14 days before the first day of your selected week.
Late Registration: If registering less than 14 days before camp starts, the full $250 fee is due immediately.
14+ Days Notice: Full refund of the $200 balance. The $50 deposit remains non-refundable.
Less than 14 Days: No refunds or credits will be issued — it is very difficult to fill a micro-camp spot on short notice.
Camp Cancellation by Instructor: In the rare event of an emergency cancellation, a 100% full refund including the deposit will be issued immediately.

There are no partial refunds, credits, or make-up days for missed days due to illness, vacation, or personal scheduling conflicts. Operational and material costs remain the same regardless of attendance.
